The People | Part I: Hanging out by the water

Copenhagen has many canals, harbors, beaches, lakes and quays. Danes and tourists love to just let their feet hang over the edge while eating lunch or having a coffee or beer.

In the picture on the left you see people hanging out at Nyhavn (New Harbour) canal. This is a favorite spot for many visitors, with the beautiful colorful buildings and canal tours. It is a perfect place to enjoy a cold beer or ice cream on a hot summer day 🙂 | map

On the right you see the sunset at Islands Brygge (Iceland Quay) waterfront park.  This is also a popular area in the summer with people sunbathing on the grass or taking a dive at the Harbour Bath. It is very close to the city center, just across the bridge (Langebro) and only a 15 minute walk from City Hall Square. | map
